The fast food taco shop exterior adds a unique charm to this gourmet donut haven. Nestled in the former Taco Tico building, Crispy Donut is a hidden gem that you might miss if you're not looking for it. Roberta was preceded in death by parents. As a former Los Angeles resident, I was immediately drawn to the familiar gourmet refugee-owned shop vibe, complete with a taco shop exterior. She was a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan. Roberta was a member of the BPW, VFW Auxiliary and was a past president of the Shawnee Jaycee’s. She was employed with Remel Medical Supply for over 20 years until her retirement. Roberta lived in Dodge City and managed a Taco Tico, later moving to the Johnson County area. Grease literally has been pouring out of our tacos and seeping. Tonight we got tacos and could hardly open them because they were swimming in so much grease. She attended Sterling High School, Sterling, KS and graduated from Hutchinson Community College. My wife and I have always loved Taco Tico, but unfortunately the Taco Tico in Derby has ruined that for us lately. Roberta was born Februin Pratt, KS to Robert and Daisy June Horn. Roberta Jane Horn, 72, Shawnee, KS passed away Saturday, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, KS.
